Loved this post & the ideas are simply brilliant, keeping it simple paid off. Repurpose Other Decorations – Don't be afraid to repurpose things you already have around the house–including decorations you used for other parties. For example, green tablecloths from St. Patrick's Day or Christmas make great supplies for a gender-neutral party. Storybook/Fairytale Shower – Shower the baby with bedtime stories and decorate in the style of your favorite childhood book. Have your flowers spilling out from the sides of the birdcage. In this arrangement, I used hydrangea, rice flower, waxflower, roses, and solidago.
Pregnancy is all about NESTING. Bring that home in this baby shower theme. I stumbled upon them about a year ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since! For the invitations here, I used their Mulberry Lane graphic set.

After the guests got through eating, we set up for the second activity. The dining room table was converted into craft central with all sorts of supplies including fabric paint, lots of iron-on transfers, onesies, and bibs. Each guest got the chance to show off her creativity and make a homemade onesie and bib for the new baby. I have to admit that I was surprised at the craftiness of this group of ladies. As you can see from the photos, this new baby girl is going to be quite stylish in all her homemade onesies and bibs.

After all, it’smore laundry and laundry and I are bitter enemies. It’s paper napkins for me, all the way. You don’t have to go all “matchy matchy” with everything. Pick one that fits the feel of your party. Mix Sprite with pink lemonade and some fresh blueberries for a fresh fizzy spring drink . Don’t forget, of course, the striped straws for a polished finish.

Having recently helped with the planning of a bird-themed baby shower, I thought I would share some of the party ideas that we used. Read further to find ideas for invitations, decorations, food and cake ideas, games and activities, and so much more. Had the pleasure of planning a baby shower for a friend earlier this year as she welcomed her new baby girl. The guest of honor absolutely loves to be outdoors, so I wanted something of a natural theme for the festivities. I came up with the idea for a bird theme, and I have to say it was one of the easiest, most enjoyable showers I’ve ever worked done! Throughout the main food table, guests found brightly colored, hand-painted birds and birdhouses.
Autumn Leaves Apple Pie Recipe - Add a fancy touch to fall's signature dessert by adding pretty maple leaves crust atop an apple pie. Use the Wilton Leaves & Acorns Cutter Set to cut crust in various leaf sizes to make the pretty leaves. Your guests are heading out the door, all bitterly disappointed that your epically awesome Bird Baby Shower is over. After someone writes their notes, hang them on this iron wall artwith these colorful clothespins. Use these suggestions to decorate the dessert table, without A) spending a lot of money and B) using a lot of effort. If you can push buttons on a microwave, you can make these little nest spoons.

Our bird's nest cupcakes topped with coconut and mini Cadbury eggs. Little birdie told me....bird birthday or baby shower invitation. Having grown up in a home brimming with sewing notions and paintbrushes, Amy has a deep love for all things creative. On any given day, you’ll find her knee-deep in her latest creative endeavor, with projects ranging from sewing and crafts to home decor and kid-friendly ideas. But honestly, I have had showers where I threw the whole thing by myself and no one offered to bring food.
If you can't find Easter grass, substitute fake moss which can be found at your local craft store. That’s exactly what’s going to happen when you used these baby bird shower ideas. Your guests are going to walk into the room and gasp with excitement and wonder at all the girlish fun we’re about to have. What beautiful baby shower favors! These are made by mixing melted chocolate in with coconut and shaping into little birds nests - and topping off with a cute chocolate egg.
Oh BabyIf it’s a mailed invite you will probably not get much communication with invitees so you’ll most likely fly solo on it. A more dramatic centerpiece can beautifully adorn the guest tables or be used as a statement piece on the buffet or gift table. This centerpiece has flowers flowing from a metal bird cage. Awww, I love the bird's nest cupcakes! Terrific ideas here and they are all so sweet!

What a great theme, and you did a fantastic job! ~ I am having an awesome giveaway you may be interested in…two authentic hand bags up for grabs…go check it out. At our shower, we had a couple of activities planned for the guests. Once cupcakes are completely cool, frost with buttercream icing. Cut bird-shapes out of colorful scrapbooking paper. ~ Picture this laying gracefully over every plate.
Just don’t forget the candy eggs, or they will look like sad, smashed bars. Theydeserve to be set apart. You can also make the birds nests by using crunchy Chinese Noodles. I love that you have that “In My Nest” book on the table. My daughter loves those little books.
